The strategy for this channel is interesting because they don't prioritize views due to their specific audience, but we were able to experiment with this one. In the financial and retirement niche, especially when targeting people 55 and older, the audience is actively looking for solutions. This is an evergreen industry where nothing really changes between February and November because people will continue to age regardless. We focused on the pain points and used formats we'd seen work in this space. The core tension is that people want to retire and make money, but they don't want to retire too early. We focused on the psychological aspect of what would make people click. This became the best performing video on a channel that generally produces shorter educational content not designed for views. We were able to experiment successfully with this longer format.
